Zama plans to activate its GPU-powered 1,000+ TPS confidential transfer throughput on mainnet by the end of 2026.
Zama, the fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) protocol for confidential onchain applications, plans to activate its new GPU-based throughput on mainnet by the end of 2026. In benchmarks Zama reached 1,040 TPS for ERC-7984 confidential token transfers on 8 NVIDIA H100 GPUs, 2.6x faster than v1.6 and about a year ahead of its roadmap. Programmable bootstrapping throughput rose from 176,312 to 383,200 operations per second with latency near 51.5 ms, and cost falls below $0.00005 per confidential transfer. The team says the upgrade is not on mainnet yet and gives end of year as the activation target, with no exact date.
