Utexo launches its bridged USDT on Bitcoin's RGB layer on Nov 28, 2026 via partner wallets and exchanges; Lightning support follows in Q1 2027.
Utexo plans the public launch of its bridged version of Tether's USDT on Bitcoin on November 28, 2026, issued and transferred through the RGB protocol. The launch goes live through partner wallets and exchanges and brings dollar stablecoin liquidity to Bitcoin for swaps, trading and BTC-backed lending, with private-by-design confidential transfers. On October 22, 2026 Utexo opened Utexo Mint, a platform where exchanges, wallets, market makers and OTC desks can test minting and redemption on Bitcoin Signet before launch. A second phase in Q1 2027 extends the token to the Lightning Network for near-instant payments. USDT first launched on Bitcoin in 2014 via Omni.
