BNB Chain activates its Pasteur hard fork on BSC mainnet at 02:30 UTC on August 25, 2026. Every mainnet node must run client version v1.7.7 before activation. Pasteur tightens cross-chain verification and validator key-rotation rules and lets blocks carry more transactions while keeping the 450ms block time, improving security and throughput for the BNB Smart Chain.
