BNB Chain plans mainnet for NewL1, a new BNB-powered L1 targeting 100K+ TPS for trading, payments and AI, in early 2027 after an end-2026 testnet.
BNB Chain (BNB) plans to launch NewL1, a new high-performance Layer 1 in the BNB stack, on mainnet in early 2027, according to its official H2 2026 tech roadmap. Testnet is planned by the end of 2026. NewL1 is natively powered by BNB and extends BNB's utility into trading, payments, privacy and AI agent scenarios while staying interoperable with BNB Smart Chain, opBNB and BNB Greenfield. The roadmap targets 100K+ TPS with very fast confirmations. Date is an estimate (early 2027, shown as Q1 2027).
