Bitcoin Core v32.0, the next major release of the reference BTC node software, is targeted for October 10, 2026 after three release candidates.

Bitcoin Core, the reference implementation of the Bitcoin (BTC) full node and wallet software, plans to tag its next major release, v32.0, on October 10, 2026 according to the official release schedule on GitHub. Feature freeze happened on August 20 and the 32.x branch was split on September 14; release candidates v32.0rc1 through rc3 have been published, so the final date is a target and can slip if issues are found. Draft release notes include a new mempool-based fee rate estimator combined into estimatesmartfee, private transaction broadcast improvements, a higher default limit for automatic peer connections, new wallet RPCs such as addhdkey, derivehdkey and exportwatchonlywallet, and a GUI built on Qt 6.8.
