Sanctum, the Solana liquid-staking infrastructure project, will burn 25% of the total SANC supply on October 6, 2026, live on stage at Solana Summit Singapore. The burn follows proposal CLOUD-008, posted by founder FP Lee on September 2 and passed on September 19 through a 72-hour MetaDAO decision market. It destroys the remaining Community Reserve of 259,320,217 tokens, cutting total supply from 1B to about 741M. The team says the reserve was largely unused (only 48M of 307M was ever distributed) and was seen by the market as a supply overhang. The token was renamed from CLOUD to SANC; the contract address is unchanged.
