Gno.land, the Go-based smart contract Layer 1 from Cosmos co-founder Jae Kwon, launched mainnet gnoland-1 with genesis on September 12, 2026.
Gno.land, the smart contract platform built on Gno, an interpreted and fully deterministic variant of the Go programming language, launched its mainnet (chain ID gnoland-1) with genesis on September 12, 2026 at 15:00 UTC; the team officially announced it on September 16. The project is led by Cosmos co-founder Jae Kwon. At genesis the chain shipped 89 curated packages and four founding validators: Gnocore, OnBloc, Samourai Crew and Berty. GNOT balances come from a 1.333 billion GNOT allocation across 3.26M accounts, with transfers locked at genesis and most allocations vesting over 24 months. GNOT was sold via Echo Sonar and KuCoin Spotlight and listed on KuCoin and Kraken in September 2026.
