Ducat, a Bitcoin-native lending and stablecoin protocol, opens its mainnet to the public in October 2026 after an invite-only alpha.
Ducat is a Bitcoin-native credit and stablecoin protocol: users borrow the UNIT stablecoin against BTC while the collateral stays on Bitcoin L1. The team says it will open mainnet to the public in October 2026 so more Bitcoin holders can borrow against BTC without selling it. Mainnet Alpha opened in July with 100 invite-only slots that filled immediately. Recent updates include ongoing audit work, a Ducat Snap live in the MetaMask Snaps Directory and a TRON integration (wUNIT) connecting UNIT to USDT liquidity. Ducat also says its token generation event is expected later this year, with ticker and exchange details still to come.
