Canton Protocol 3.5 Mainnet Upgrade
Canton Network (CC) · Releases & Updates · June 27, 2026
Canton Protocol 3.5 went live on MainNet on June 27, 2026, introducing zero-downtime upgrades via Logical Synchronizer.
Canton Network is a privacy-enabled institutional L1 blockchain processing $1.5 trillion monthly in repo transactions, backed by DTCC, Broadridge, Goldman Sachs, BNY, and 30+ major financial institutions. Protocol 3.5 introduces the Logical Synchronizer Upgrade (LSU) — allowing the network to upgrade its core protocol version without pausing transaction processing for the first time. This eliminates downtime for institutions running live settlement applications. After DevNet testing in May, Protocol 3.5 went live on MainNet on June 27, 2026, completing the first Logical Synchronizer Upgrade. Aligns directly with the DTCC tokenized Treasuries pilot launching mid-2026.
