x402B Mainnet Launch — Commerce Layer for AI Agents

Boson Protocol (BOSON) · Releases & Updates · June 8, 2026

Boson Protocol launches x402B mainnet on June 8 — a trustless commerce layer for AI agents and humans, tokenizing trade commitments as redeemable NFTs composable with DeFi.

Boson Protocol is a WEF Technology Pioneer and decentralized agentic commerce protocol live since 2021. x402B is its new flagship product: a neutral, open commerce layer for the emerging agent economy. Each party's commitment to a trade is tokenized as a redeemable NFT (rNFT) — the bearer is guaranteed to receive the item or receive a full refund. AI agents can pay any counterparty pseudonymously and first-time with the same confidence as transacting with a known provider. rNFTs compose directly with DeFi as forward contracts, vault collateral, or secondary market assets, creating what its founders call the "computable economy."

- rNFTs: every trade commitment is tokenized, bearer-guaranteed delivery or full refund, no trust required - AI agents transact with unknown counterparties safely: x402 settles payment, x402B protects the trade - Commerce becomes composable: rNFTs work as DeFi collateral, forward contracts, and secondary market assets - Builds on x402 HTTP payment standard, adding escrow and dispute resolution at the protocol level
