Berachain PoL Next goes live on mainnet in late June — BGT deprecated, SWBERA becomes the single yield token, and ERA launches structured emission programs for ecosystem teams.
Following testnet validation in late May, Berachain activates PoL Next on mainnet in late June 2026. The upgrade fundamentally changes Berachain's tokenomics: BGT is deprecated, all incentive and emission value consolidates into SWBERA, and the ERA program begins routing structured emission streams to high-growth ecosystem teams. Each BERA emitted via ERA must return a minimum fixed yield to Berachain, plus a perpetual revenue share, creating a sustainable flywheel for the ecosystem. BERA holders and SWBERA holders benefit from every new team funded through ERA.
