L1 Halt & ZETA Migration to Solana

ZetaChain (ZETA) · Deadlines · December 9, 2026

ZetaChain plans to halt its Layer 1 around Dec 9, 2026 and reissue ZETA 1:1 as a native Solana token, with claims opening the same day via the ZetaHub migration portal.

ZetaChain Governance Proposal 2 sets the mechanism and dates for moving ZETA to Solana, following Proposal 68 which passed in September with 99.4% in favor. If it passes, every ZETA balance (liquid, staked, unbonding and unclaimed rewards) is recorded at block 20,755,000, expected around December 9, 2026, and the ZetaChain L1 halts at that height and is not restarted. ZETA is minted on Solana as a native SPL token 1:1 under the same ticker, the mint authority is revoked, and claims open on Dec 9 through hub.zetachain.com/migrate. Staked and exchange balances are credited automatically. About 55M ZETA of undistributed validator emissions will be burned monthly through 2027. ZetaLabs, a private AI app on Solana, launches the same day. Voting on Proposal 2 ends November 7, 2026 at 16:12 UTC; nothing moves until it passes, so the date is estimated. An archive node stays online until October 31, 2027.
