Soul Protocol launches its public mainnet on October 19, 2026, bringing cross-chain lending and borrowing of native assets without bridging.
Soul Protocol, an omnichain DeFi lending protocol built on LayerZero messaging, plans to launch its Public Mainnet on Monday, October 19, 2026 (tentative date announced in Protocol Update #4). Soul acts as a unified cross-chain liquidity layer: users supply collateral on one chain and borrow on another from a single account, without bridging assets or minting wrapped tokens, routing into existing money markets instead of fragmenting liquidity. Public Mainnet follows a completed Private Mainnet phase and security reviews; Spark is being added as a supported lending protocol at launch, and Plasma is under evaluation as a future chain. The $SO token is not part of the mainnet launch: the TGE is planned for December 2026, and token utilities (governance, gauges, buy-backs, Booster staking) will activate after the protocol generates revenue.
