Pirate Chain (ARRR) hard forks directly to the Ironwood shielded protocol on October 3, 2026, skipping Orchard.
Pirate Chain (ARRR), the privacy-by-default blockchain where all transactions are shielded, is scheduled to hard fork directly to Ironwood on October 3, 2026, according to its September 2026 newsletter. Ironwood replaces the planned Orchard shielded pool: Pirate Chain skipped Orchard in favor of a newer protocol built with formal verification and quantum-recoverability commitments. A preparatory hard fork in September required Treasure Chest wallet users to update to v6.0.0. Ironwood also brings a trustless pool, single-transaction payment disclosures and multi-recipient outputs, supported by the new Stashi unified wallet harness.
