TRON plans to move its quantum-resistant upgrade from the Nile testnet to mainnet by the end of 2026, replacing existing elliptic-curve signatures with post-quantum cryptographic standards. The mainnet migration was originally targeted for Q3 2026 and slipped; Justin Sun restated the end-of-2026 timeline in August and again on October 19, 2026. TRON is one of the largest networks for USDT stablecoin transfers, so the switch is one of the biggest post-quantum transitions planned in crypto.
