Glamsterdam Upgrade

Ethereum (ETH) · Releases & Updates · TBA

Ethereum's Glamsterdam upgrade (ePBS + Block-Level Access Lists); live on Sepolia since Oct 6, Hoodi testnet fork postponed Oct 22 over EIP-8037, mainnet date not set.

Glamsterdam is Ethereum's next major hard fork. Headline EIPs: EIP-7732 (Enshrined Proposer-Builder Separation, ePBS), EIP-7928 (Block-Level Access Lists, enabling parallel execution) and EIP-7904 (gas repricing). The upgrade went live on the Sepolia testnet on October 6, 2026. On October 22 the Ethereum Foundation postponed the Hoodi testnet fork, planned for October 26, to look into concerns around EIP-8037, and no new date has been set. Mainnet comes after Hoodi, so the mainnet date is not set either; early December dates had been discussed before the delay.
