EEA Deadline for 14 MiCA-Restricted Assets

Coinbase (USDT) · Deadlines · October 30, 2026

Coinbase EEA retail users must withdraw USDT, PYUSD, USD1, DAI, PAXG and 9 other MiCA-restricted assets by Oct 30, 2026 or get auto-converted to USDC.

Coinbase, the largest US-listed crypto exchange, sets October 30, 2026 as the final deadline for retail customers in the European Economic Area (EEA) holding 14 assets it can no longer support under the EU Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation. The list includes Tether USDT, PayPal PYUSD, World Liberty Financial USD1, DAI, USDS, GUSD, PAXG and other stablecoins whose issuers are not MiCA-authorised. Buying, selling and converting these assets on Coinbase is already restricted; withdrawal to an external wallet is the only way to keep them. On October 30 Coinbase will automatically convert any remaining balances at the market rate into USDC or another supported asset or currency. Deposits of these assets sent after the deadline will not be credited, cannot be traded or transferred, and recovery is not guaranteed. The move follows the end of the MiCA transitional period for stablecoin issuers on July 1, 2026.
