Roundtable on 24/7 Trading

The CFTC hosts a public industry roundtable on December 15 in Washington on moving US derivatives markets to 24/7 trading.

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) hosts a public industry roundtable on December 15, 2026 at its Washington headquarters on whether US derivatives markets can move to 24/7 trading. The session builds on the CFTC's Request for Comment on 24/7 trading earlier this year and covers overnight trading, tokenization, market infrastructure, staffing and operational readiness. Chairman Michael Selig said the agency will not take a one-size-fits-all approach to round-the-clock trading across asset classes. The roundtable is open to the public and livestreamed on CFTC.gov; agenda and speakers will be posted later. A key signal for 24/7 crypto, tokenized asset and perpetual futures trading on regulated US venues.
