Cardano's Van Rossem intra-era hard fork (Protocol Version 11) was enacted on mainnet on July 18, 2026, upgrading Plutus performance, ledger consistency and node security.

Intra-era hard fork to Protocol Version 11 — no era transition, minimizing integration burden. Enacted on PreProd testnet June 10, 2026; mainnet go/no-go decision June 15. Enactment was governance-coordinated with candidate windows: Jun 23, Jun 28, Jul 3, Jul 8, Jul 13, Jul 18 (initially targeting late June 2026). The hard fork initiation action was ratified on Jul 13, and the upgrade was enacted on mainnet on July 18, 2026 at the epoch 643 to 644 boundary. Over 84% of blocks already produced by upgraded nodes at decision time.
