Avalanche releases AvalancheGo v1.15.0, the Helicon mainnet upgrade, with network activation at 15:00 UTC (11 AM ET) on September 22, 2026. Helicon introduces continuous execution and auto-renewed staking to the Avalanche primary network. Node operators must upgrade to a Helicon-capable version before activation, or their nodes will fall out of consensus and be unable to follow the network. This is a mandatory AVAX protocol upgrade affecting validators and infrastructure providers.
